Looking for Library Activities for Kids?

Take your students on a journey through the library and across the United States of America with a printable library scavenger hunt designed for Read Across America.

Learn About the Library – Elementary Level

Invite your students into the school or classroom library and send them on a journey to find different genres of books, research tools, text features, and fun facts about various topics!

Students begin with a scavenger hunt worksheet describing different types of books and features to search for. They must then complete a series of scavenger hunt tasks to locate specific information and books in the library. This activity is the perfect way to engage your lower elementary students and introduce them to new authors, genres, and information they didn’t know they could find in the library.
