Create a Model Of a Butterfly Life Cycle
Are you prepping to start your unit on animal life cycles? If so, you’re in the right place. The Teach Starter team has been hard at work creating new and exciting resources to get your students’ hands (and minds) on what they’re learning! This year we’re excited to introduce our newest accordion book craft template to help your students sequence and display the life cycle of a butterfly!
Hands-On Life Cycle Crafts for Kids
Use this hands-on activity when teaching young students about life cycles and in particular, the life cycle of a butterfly.
How to use this resource:
- Cut out the butterfly wings along the dotted lines and decorate.
- Cut out the four images showing the different stages of the butterfly life cycle and the accordion book piece.
- Glue the four images in order from left to right in the four sections of the accordion piece.
- Fold the accordion book like a fan.
- Glue each wing to both sides of the folded piece.
- When the wings are closed, they will join to form a butterfly.
- When the butterfly wings are pulled apart, the life cycle will be revealed!
