A-Maze-ing Place Value Worksheets

Are you looking for a place value worksheet like no other? Well, you have stumbled upon the right resource.

This fun take on usual place value activities will intrigue your students and make them want to do more!

Students will navigate the cute little town, collecting coins to form three numbers. Each path must result in a number that meets specific directions:

  • Path 1: the largest number possible
  • Path 2: a mixed place value description
  • Path 3: the smallest number possible

The resource includes three versions of the maze:

  • Maze 1: 3-digit numbers
  • Maze 2: 4-digit numbers
  • Maze 3: 5-digit numbers

Answer pages are included with your download to make marking fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to individual student work time, use this worksheet as a:

  • math center activity
  • early finisher activity
  • whole-class review (via smartboard)

Students who need extra support should begin with the first maze. Additionally, students can reference a place value chart to assist them with the activity.

Task students who embrace an extra challenge with completing the third maze and making their own place value maze.
