This printable resource pack includes three printable 1st grade measuring length worksheets. You can use this teaching resource when exploring the concepts of measuring, estimating, and comparing length with informal units. It includes the following worksheets:
- Introducing Measurement Tools and Terminology—Students will identify the tools used to measure length and demonstrate their understanding of the terms related to length, including long, short, longer, shorter, etc.
- Estimating and Measuring Length With Cubes—This worksheet requires students to locate objects around the classroom, estimate their length in unit cubes, and measure them using cubes.
- Measuring and Ordering Length Worksheet—This worksheet requires students to locate objects, measure them with cubes, and arrange them in order from shortest to longest.
Answer keys have also been included. Please note that tasks requiring students to measure objects around the room may vary due to differences in materials available.
