Learn and practice the different diphthong vowel teams with this set of mini activity books.
Learning Diphthong Vowel Teams Mini Activity Books
Are your phonics lessons currently focused on the different diphthongs? This activity mini-book bundle is the perfect resource to add to your phonics lessons. Students will learn how other diphthongs can make the same phoneme/sound in each mini-book. The following diphthongs are covered in the books:
- oi and oy
- aw and au
- ue, ew and oo
- ou and ow
Diphthongs are a tricky concept to teach students, so the more resources and activities you have available for them to practice the better! Diphthongs are complex vowel sounds that begin with one vowel sound and glide into another within the same syllable. The transition between the two vowel sounds in a diphthong is smooth and relatively quick.
