Do your students know the difference between a mixture and a solution? As your students are exploring different types of matter, it is important to understand the difference between them. Let’s take a quick look at how they are different.
- A mixture has 2 or more substances that have been put together but are not chemically combined.
- A solution has 2 or more substances that have been chemically combined and can not be separated.
With this cut-and-paste science worksheet, students must look at written examples and pictures and sort them according to if they are a mixture or a solution. This worksheet gives students 12 examples to sort.
