Create a diagram showing the different moon phases and their names with this cut-and-paste activity sheet.

Phases of the Moon Worksheet

With this activity, students will cut out each of the moon phase pictures and labels. Students then can glue each of the phases in the correct order on a separate piece of paper while putting the labels underneath each picture. It may also be helpful to remind your students to draw the sun on their diagram as well!

This download includes a version for both the northern and southern hemispheres. 

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

If there are students who need an additional challenge, consider giving the moon phases activity of the opposite hemisphere they live in to complete.

For students who need additional support, invite them to reference one of our moon phases posters to help them with this activity.
