A Comprehensive Multiplication Fact Fluency System

This is why we at Teach Starter are happy to present this karate-themed comprehensive multiplication fact fluency system that will have your students roundhouse kicking those facts in no time!

Assessments, tracking sheets, bulletin board decorations — this multiplication fact fluency system has it all! Here is a list of the many pieces included in this resource:

Teaching Multiplication Facts to 144

So how does this multiplication fact fluency system work? Complete program instructions are included with the resource, but here is a quick overview of how to use our system to help your students master multiplication facts to 144.

  • Each day, students will take a one-minute multiplication assessment. Every time they pass an assessment, they earn another Karate belt to add to their personal belt wall tracking worksheet.
  • After passing two levels, students will take a longer, three-minute benchmark assessment that includes a sampling of all the facts they have learned thus far.
  • Passing the benchmark assessment earns students a trophy token to add to their personal trophy case worksheet and a belt to add to their trophy, karategi, or belt wall on the bulletin board set.
  • If students do not pass an assessment, they simply try, try again! Four unique assessments are included for each fact family to provide variety.
