Plan ahead and encourage families to develop a fire escape plan with a pair of printable fire escape planning worksheets.
Fire Escape Planning Has Never Been So Easy!
It’s important for kids to know what to do if there’s a fire at home, but many may not have been taught what to do. It’s time for that to change, and the Teach Starter team has been hard at work creating the best and brightest fire prevention week lessons and activities you can find!
To help your student prepare for fire emergencies, you can send home a fire escape planning template during Fire Prevention Week. This will encourage families to discuss how to react to a fire and ensure everyone is safe. The template asks kids to write down their family’s escape plan and draw a map of the exit route and where to meet after escaping.
It’s an excellent homework assignment for Fire Prevention Week.
