Self-Esteem Activities for the Classroom

Self-esteem is the way we view and feel about ourselves. Students need to have healthy self-esteem as it influences their confidence, resilience, and overall well-being, affecting their learning abilities. We have designed a Self-Esteem Reflecting and Review template to help students become more self-aware and develop a positive self-image. This worksheet encourages students to evaluate their self-esteem, identify factors affecting it, and reflect on their perceptions and experiences.

How to Use this Self-Esteem Rating Template

  1. Begin by introducing the concept of self-esteem to your students. Explain that self-esteem is how they feel about themselves.
  2. Walk through the self-esteem rating template with your students. Explain the purpose of each section and how it encourages them to reflect on their feelings and experiences related to self-esteem.
  3. Give examples of events and situations that can affect self-esteem.
  4. Allocate time for students to complete the self-esteem rating template individually. Ensure they have a quiet and comfortable space to reflect on their answers honestly.
  5. Create a respectful and comfortable environment for students to share their ratings and explore reasons if they feel comfortable.
