Let’s Look at the Number of the Day

The worksheet includes writing the number in numerical and word form and showing the number using place values, marking whether the number is even or odd, and finding the sum of the digits. Doing a number of the day is an effective and engaging teaching strategy with several benefits for children, making it an excellent tool for developing mathematical skills and promoting a deeper understanding of numbers.

Focusing on a number of the day allows students to concentrate on a single number, which can reduce cognitive overload and make it easier for them to explore and understand the properties of that number.

Use this number of the day worksheet in your classroom for students to explore a given 4, 5, or 6-digit number – or have the class choose a number each day.
