Practice research skills by exploring each planet and creating a visual display of information.
🪐Make Learning Out of this World with our Planet Project Template
Planet projects are a great way to introduce students to the Solar System. This template is sure to spark your child’s imagination and delight their teacher. Students choose one of eight planets and fill in a “fact sheet” describing it. Students will research information such as the number of rings, number of moons, length of rotation, etc. Students will also get to find 3 fun facts about their planet. This information will then be used to write a paragraph about the planet.
Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding
🆘 Support Struggling Students
For students who need additional support, consider assigning a partner or completing in a 1:1 setting. Furthermore, students could only complete the fact sheet and not the writing component. Additionally, provide access to previous assignments, as well as posters and anchor charts for students to recall past lessons.
➕ Challenge Fast Finishers
For students who need an additional challenge, encourage students to find additional information or research more than one planet.
