Looking for Prefix and Suffix Anchor Charts? Try These!

Prefixes, suffixes, and roots – it’s such a broad subject to cover!  Once the kids understand what prefixes and suffixes do, that’s only the beginning! So many affixes and roots are introduced to the kids that it can be an ongoing project rather than a one-time lesson.  And just when you think everyone has the content mastered, there are sure to be one or two kids who forgot the basic parts and need a bit of a reminder.

While working on new and revised vocabulary resources, we put these prefix charts and suffix charts together with that problem in mind. Use these prefix and suffix display posters when teaching your students about prefixes and suffixes.

Morphology and Vocabulary Resources for ELL/ESL Learners

Each poster contains a definition and nine examples of different prefixes and suffixes. We’ve also included images that help students understand the meanings, perfect for your ELL learners!

Use the drop-down menu to choose between the letter or tabloid size.
