Learn new vocabulary while studying the Presidential Oath of Office with this differentiated activity.
Use this resource in the days leading up to Inauguration Day or Presidents’ Day.
Students will read the Presidential Oath of Office as it is written in the U.S. Constitution. Then, after looking up information in the dictionary, they must rewrite the oath in their own words.
This resource is a great way for your students to practice their dictionary skills while working in a reading center.
We have created a scaffolded version of this activity. Use the drop-down menu to choose between the on-level and scaffolded versions as well as the color or black and white PDF. There is also an interactive Google Slide version of the on-level activity.
