Use this teaching resource with your primary students when teaching how to extend patterns involving shape.
How to use this teaching resource:
- Print out the resource on cardstock for added durability.
- Cut out the snake templates and the extra shapes.
- Sort and store the extra shapes in zip-lock bags or storage baskets.
- Encourage your students continue the pattern by selecting from the extra shapes.
This hands-on activity is ideal to use when working with guided math groups or as a math center activity.
