Celebrate the magic of reading with a set of crown templates that students can make and wear!
“Reading Is Magic” Crown Templates
Ask any teacher around, and they’ll tell you that reading is one of the most valuable activities that a child can do. It expands your vocabulary, engages your imagination, expands your knowledge and reduces stress… and that’s merely the tip of the iceberg!
To celebrate the truly magical nature of reading, Teach Starter has created this set of three delightful crown templates based around the theme “Reading Is Magic.” Each crown is a little different to cater to your students’ different interests.
- Crown 1 features a magic castle, a unicorn and a crystal ball.
- Crown 2 features a mushroom house, a magic wand and a magic mirror.
- Crown 3 features a wizard, a sorceress, a potion bottle and a new moon.
These crowns are perfect for sparking creativity and celebrating the magic of reading!
How to Use These “Reading Is Magic” Crowns
Looking for some ideas as to how you might use these “Reading Is Magic” crowns in your classroom? Here are some suggestions you might like to consider:
- Art and Craft Activity – Turn crown creation into an art and craft activity! Provide students with markers, painters, colored material, sequins, glue and glitter (if you’re brave enough!) so they can make a truly unique and magical crown.
- Act or Write a Story – Have your students write or act out a short story featuring the characters, objects and settings featured on their chosen crown. Students could invite other classes to come and see their plays or read their stories.
- Photo Booth Fun – Create a photo booth with props and backdrops related to popular magic-themed books. Students can wear their crowns and take photos, capturing the magic of reading and making memories to look back on.
