Revision Worksheet Scaffolding and Extension Tips

If students aren’t prepared to complete this worksheet independently, project it on your board to fill out the worksheet as a class or in small groups.

Challenge fast finishers to write and revise more by providing writing prompts to work on in their notebooks. Students can swap workbooks with a partner to edit each other’s text or workshop their writing in small groups.

Easily Prepare This Resource for Your Students

Because this text revision worksheet includes an answer sheet, we recommend you print one copy of the entire file. Then, make photocopies of the blank worksheet for students to complete.

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity! Print a few copies on cardstock and slip them into dry-erase sleeves. Students can record their answers with a dry-erase marker, then erase and reuse.

Or, project the worksheet on the screen for students to copy and complete in their writing journals or work through together as a class.
