So, let’s swoop into the spirit of Halloween and start crafting some spook-tacular art projects!
Roll to Create a Strange Creature…Then Write a Halloween Story!
Use this resource in your classroom as a fun craft activity or as a narrative writing stimulus.
How to use this resource:
- Roll the die. Match the number rolled to a row on the chart, and see which feature is in the ‘1st Roll’ column. Draw the feature onto a blank piece of paper.
- Roll again. Match the number to a row on the chart, and see which feature is in the ‘2nd Roll’ column. Add this element to your creature.
- Continue in this same manner until you have all six elements of your creature.
- Write a narrative text or a comic that includes your creature.
This resource works great as a writing center activity during the weeks leading up to Halloween.
