Rounding Decimals Worksheet

Now that your students have a solid understanding of rounding, it is time to apply this skill with decimals! With this worksheet, students will demonstrate they can use place value to round decimals to the tenths or hundredths place.

This math resource includes two pages that can either be completed separately or together as a double-sided worksheet. The first activity encourages students to round each number to the tens, ones, tenths, and hundredths place to complete the table. With the second activity, students will determine if the rounded answers in the table are correct or incorrect for each given decimal. Students will color individual boxes green for numbers that are rounded correctly to the given place. If the number is rounded incorrectly, students will color it red.

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to independent student work time, use this worksheet as an activity for:

When students need a bit of a challenge, students can create their own color grid (similar to the second worksheet) and give it to a friend to solve.

For students who need additional support, choose which place values you would like them to round to. As an example, you may only have some students round to the tenths place rather than the four different place values. Additionally, invite students to reference previous lessons, assignments, and anchor charts.
