Said is Dead! What Will We Say Instead?

Just kidding… Said is definitely not dead, but sometimes there are better ways to say it. If you’ve been in the classroom for more than a minute, you know that ‘said’ is one of the most overused words in student writing, so this year, let’s encourage kids to branch out and try new variations and antonyms for the word ‘said’.
