Design Santa a new sleigh using geometric figures with a fun Christmas math worksheet.
Santa Needs a New Sleigh – Christmas Geometry Worksheet
This Christmas, get in the holiday spirit with a holiday math task!
Santa’s New Sleigh is a fun way to bring a bit of extra engaging math practice into your classroom during the holiday season.
Students will design Santa’s new sleigh using his specifications. Students must draw the sleigh using the number and types of 2-dimensional geometric shapes required (triangles, rectangles, squares).
It’s the Perfect 3rd Grade Geometry Activity!
This activity is great for upper elementary students who are ready to move beyond traditional shapes and learn about more complex 2d shapes, such as trapezoids, pentagons, and rhombi!
Give your students the task of designing a new sleigh for Santa that doesn’t include the reindeer. As an extension, have your students write a procedural text explaining how to operate the sleigh or a persuasive text convincing Santa how great it is.
This will make a great holiday math center activity for your students.
