A sorting activity to help students identify objects that should be measured in ounces, pounds, and tons.
This hands-on resource will make a great addition to your teacher toolbox for teaching mass!
Print the resource on cardstock for increased durability, then cut and distribute to your students. Alternatively, put these into a center for independent work.
Students must sort the object pictures according to whether they would be measured in ounces, pounds, or tons.
Ask your fast finishers to research the actual masses of some of the objects on the cards, then share this information with the class!
