Sh Digraph

A “sh” digraph is a combination of two letters, ‘s’ and ‘h, that together represent a single sound. In English, the “sh” digraph typically produces the sound you hear in words like “shoe,” “ship,” or “shout.” It is considered a single phoneme, and the letters ‘s’ and ‘h’ work together to create the distinct “sh” sound.

Here are some examples of words with the “sh” digraph:

  1. Ship
  2. Shell
  3. Shovel
  4. Shark
  5. Wish
  6. Brush
  7. Ash
  8. Crash
  9. Sheep
  10. Shy
