Differentiated 2D Shapes and 3D Shapes Worksheets K-6

Leveled worksheet sets are an excellent tool for teachers to help students practice their skills in a particular area of math. Use these curriculum-aligned worksheets to check students’ understanding of the names, properties and features of shapes.  Each of these leveled worksheet sets caters to a different level of learner. Select between versions (grade-leveled or without the grade shown).

These worksheet sets are aligned to the relevant curriculum code for each grade from Kindergarten to Sixth Grade. Use them to support your Geometry lessons in your elementary classroom! Our team of teachers has designed each set of sheets with the relevant grade-level curriculum standards in mind.

The topics covered in each level are:

  • Kindergarten: Basic 2D (two-dimensional) shapes: triangle, square, circle, rectangle and hexagon
  • One: 2D shapes and 3D shapes
  • Two: 2D shapes: descriptions and properties
  • Three: 3D shapes: descriptions and properties; prisms
  • Four: regular and irregular shapes
  • Five: nets of 3D shapes
  • Six: constructing prisms and pyramids

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy.

Easily Download & Print

Use the dropdown icon on the Download button to choose between the PDF or Google Slides version of this resource. Once you’ve determined which format you’d like your download in, decide whether you’d like the pack with the year level displayed at the top of the sheet, or to have no year level displayed (best for differentiation).

Because this resource includes an answer sheet, we recommend you print one copy of the entire file. Then, make photocopies of the blank worksheet for students to complete.

To save paper, we suggest printing these worksheets double-sided.
