🟡 🟪 2D Shapes and Their Properties🔺🔶

Use this worksheet to build upon the basic knowledge of 2D shapes and their properties, such as:

  • geometry terms (line, line segment, angle, ray, parallel lines, perpendicular lines)
  • shapes and their attributes
  • acute, obtuse, and right triangles
  • drawing an angle with a given measure
  • drawing lines of symmetry.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to individual student work time, use these worksheets as:

  • Math centers
  • Math warm-ups
  • End-of-the-day wrap-ups
  • A Fast finisher activity

Students working above-grade level can explore the symmetry of more complex shapes in the worksheets, such as oval, hexagon, pentagon, rhombus, and kite.

Students who need extra support can focus on the first worksheet only. Students requiring scaffolding could complete this worksheet before progressing to more complicated concepts on the second sheet.
