Sight Word Bingo to Learn High Frequency Words

This collection of sight word bingo cards has been created using the Dolch word lists to help students to recognize and decode tricky parts of these high frequency words.

Print out the sight word bingo cards and word cards and laminate them. Pull the word cards out and have students put a marker over the word if they have it on their card. Your students can decide if they need to find three words vertically or five words horizontally to win.

Also includes two blank game cards for your students to choose their own words.

Learning High Frequency Words

It’s important that through using this collection of Bingo cards that the teaching and learning of high-frequency words is taught phonetically wherever possible while using strategies like repetition for irregular words. The explicit instruction of phonics first is always crucial in the balanced approach to the teaching and learning of how to read.
