One Resource, Multiple Silent Letter Activities
This English Language Arts resource includes 20 slides containing 12 separate silent letter tasks. There are four different interactive activities contained within the resource:
- Which Word: Students look at the picture and decide which word is spelled correctly. They drag and drop the correct word into the box underneath the picture.
- Sentence Writing: Students choose two words from the silent letter words on the slide and use them in a sentence by typing them into the text box.
- Fill in the Blank: Students read the sentence and decide which word completes each sentence. They drag and drop the correct word on the blank line.
- Write the Word: Students complete the table by typing words containing each silent letter.
Tips for Silent Letter Extension and Support
Diversify the learning experience for your students with these differentiation ideas:
- Extend more-capable learners by having them write a story using the silent letter words from the interactive activity.
- Support less-confident students by allowing them to complete the activity in a small group with the support of an adult.
