I Have, Who Has Game – Skip Counting by 10s

Practice skip counting by 10s with this whole class game!

To play, shuffle the deck and hand one card to each student. Students will count the objects on their cards silently. The “I have the first card” student will go first. The student with the matching number of objects will read their card next. Play will continue until all cards have been read.

Through this activity, students will show they can use number sense skills to count up in intervals of ten!

Help students who need help understanding the concepts by using the fishbowl method before playing. Gather a small group of students together in the center of the room. Have the group model how to play the game before the whole class joins in.

For students who need a bit of a challenge, encourage them to create an addition or subtraction equation to equal the number on their card.
