Design a Spacecraft STEM Task

This resource includes everything needed for an exciting, inquiry-based STEM project in which students take on the role of aerospace engineers and design a spacecraft to help a friendly alien make the return trip home after a crash landing.

The printable instructions and planning templates in this resource will allow students to move through the steps of the engineering design process—from identifying challenges and brainstorming to prototyping and evaluating their spacecraft models.
