How Can We Save Endangered Species?

Asian elephants are losing their forest homes due to logging and agriculture.

What is the effect of this?

What can humans do to change this?

Unfortunately, the plight facing Asian elephants is all too common in the 21st century. Many animal and plant species are at risk of extinction due to human and environmental factors. Some of these factors include land clearing, erosion, air and water pollution, disease and climate change.

This set of 16 task cards has been created by our dedicated team of educators to help your students explore real-life situations where plant and animal species are struggling for their survival. The students are required to read the scenario on the card, then think about what actions could be taken to change the situation. Some of the species included in the resource include:

  • Polar Bears
  • African Rhinos
  • Coral Reefs
  • Sumatran Orangutans
  • Blue Whales
  • And many more!

This resource downloads as a full-color PDF or editable Google Slides file.
