Use a fun spiderweb craft activity to bring spider fun into your classroom this Halloween.
Are Spiders Insects? Absolutely Not!
October is coming, and we know what that means! It’s a great time to start thinking about bringing a bit of creepy into the classroom. Why not start by revamping your informational writing unit to include a thematic study of spiders?
These creepy creatures make great topics for engaging reading lessons, directed drawings and teaching your students to use facts and details in their writing.
You can even bring spiders into your art lessons! This spider teaching resource is the perfect Halloween craft activity for students to practice their fine motor skills by cutting and threading yarn through paper plates. The webs cross the center of the plate, and the spiders are attached to the yarn webs.
Tie string to the plates and hang these up in the classroom to display a collection of spiders and their webs.
This craft activity could be used with a spider unit or reading lesson.
