Need St. Patrick’s Day Activities for Elementary Students?

You’re in the right place! We’ve been putting together some fantastic resources to guide your instruction surrounding St. Patrick’s Day!

This St. Patrick’s Day Vocabulary and Writing Center provides a fun, interactive way to help young students understand holidays as celebrations. The set contains 16 vocabulary word/picture cards that students use to identify symbols and ideas related to St. Patrick’s Day. Students can refer to the vocabulary cards while completing the writing prompts in their centers.

Display the vocabulary cards on the board or in a pocket chart and discuss them with your scholars. Once they are familiar with the history and folklore behind St. Patrick’s Day and the terms used, provide them with one of the included writing prompts to practice their new vocabulary!

Through this activity, students will increase their vocabulary and build skills in writing sentences with academic vocabulary.
