Use this STEM Experiment journal to organize data and learning with your students when completing STEM experiments.
Keep Your Students Organized During STEM Experiments!
STEM activities are a great way to spark curiosity and excitement in the classroom, but staying organized can be a challenge. This year, we’re excited to help you keep your students focused and structured throughout their STEM experiments. With Teach Starter tools for planning, recording observations, and tracking progress, your students will stay on top of their tasks while developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Printable STEM Experiment Journal for Kids
Enhance your students’ STEM learning experience with our Printable STEM Experiment Journal. This resource provides young learners with structured pages to record their plans, designs, hypotheses, and scientific reflections as they complete various STEM experiments.
Each journal page includes sections for drawing diagrams, noting materials, predicting outcomes, and recording data, making it the perfect companion for hands-on STEM activities. During a STEM challenge – students can write down notes at each stage of the process using this STEM journal.
Students fill out each section during the progression of any STEM or STEAM experiment:
- Ask – Restate the purpose of the challenge and the overall goal of the experiment.
- Imagine – Brainstorm ideas for completing the STEM experiment.
- Plan – Create a plan for completing the STEM experiment or challenge.
- Create – Draw a diagram representing the plan or method for completing the challenge.
- Test – Write to explain the results and potential for improvement.
- Share – Share experiment results and reflect on the activity.
