What’s in the bag? Story Elements Surprise Digital Activity

This engaging digital activity is designed to help teachers introduce and captivate students with the main story elements in a narrative. Each slide features a bag that the teacher or students can click on to reveal three different images: a character, a setting, and a problem. As each image is unveiled, students explain what they see, sparking curiosity and interest in the lesson about story elements.

Example Images Include

  • Character: Pirate | Setting: The Ocean | Problem: Boat Sinking
  • Character: Girl | Setting: School | Problem: Dropped Drink
  • Character: Alien | Setting: Space | Problem: Broken Pencil

At the end of these fun slides, there is also a worksheet for students to write down one of the examples above and start crafting their own story.
