Determine your students' interests with this survey for primary students.
Get to Know Your Students on Day 1
We all know student interest and instruction are closely linked – even in the primary grades! The more interested a student is in the content, the more engaged they will be in the learning, and the easier it will be for them to connect to new ideas. Therefore, taking time during the initial getting-to-know-you period at the beginning of the school year is crucial.
Use this simple student interest survey with your students during the first week of school to:
- establish and maintain a positive relationship with your students.
- mold your instruction to meet each student’s individual needs and preferences throughout the school year. This will motivate those hard-to-reach students.
Once the surveys are complete, file them away in your student files to be able to refer back to throughout the year.
