This resource is designed to be used as an introduction to a study of the Lewis and Clark expedition and the westward expansion of the United States. Students will complete a KWL chart and an anticipation guide before beginning lessons on the topic. This can be used in an In-Class activity or for students to complete on their own time.

Through this activity, students will show their prior knowledge and set achievable objectives to meet by the end of the unit of study.
