What Is the Order of the Planets?

Starting from the closest to the Sun, the order of the planets in our solar system is as follows:

  • Mercury
  • Venus
  • Earth
  • Mars
  • Jupiter
  • Saturn
  • Uranus
  • Neptune

Note: Pluto, which was once considered a planet, is now classified as a “dwarf planet” and is no longer considered one of the main planets of the solar system.
