Playing Our Ordering Numbers to 10 Game
Instructions:
- Remove the face cards from the deck of cards, except the ace, which will be the number 1.
- Shuffle and place the deck of cards face-down between students.
- The first player picks up a card from the top of the pile and decides where it would best fit on their train. For example, if they picked up a number 9 card, it is one of the largest numbers, so the player may choose to put it on the last carriage in the train.
- The next player then picks up a card and decides where to place it on THEIR train. If students ever cannot place a card since it would violate the rule that the cards must be in order from least to greatest, they forfeit that turn.
- Play continues. The winner is the first person to fill their train with cards, with the numbers going from least to greatest.
