Record observations of trees in the environment with a printable graphic organizer.
Let’s Talk About Trees! And Observe Them Too!
This year, when you teach your students about plants and animals, make sure to get them outside. There’s nothing like a real world experience to help solidify primary school science concepts. We’re here to help you inspire your group of little botanists to observe, report, and admire the largest plants around them…trees!
This downloadable resource is the perfect way to get your students thinking about the features, uses, and differences between plants in their environment. With this activity, your students are encouraged to observe a tree nearby and report what they find using a graphic organizer. We’ve included three differentiated versions, marked with stars to meet the varying needs of your students.
Worksheets included are:
⭐ Kindergarten- 1st Grade – Draw and Write Activity with Fill-in-the-Blank, Basic Observations
⭐⭐ Grades 2-3 – Draw and Write, Finish the Statement, More detailed observations
⭐⭐⭐ Grades 4-5 – Draw, Write, Short Answer Response
