Help your students master 2-digit numbers with this match-up puzzle. A teacher has designed this puzzle to help students match up 2-digit numbers with their word version, the number in expanded form, and MAB Block representation.
Reading and writing numbers using different representations is important for several reasons:
- Conceptual understanding – using various representations, such as words, expanded form, and visual models like MABs helps children develop a deep and holistic understanding of numbers.
- Supports diverse learners – children have different learning styles and strengths. Offering multiple representations accommodates diverse learning needs.
- Long-term retention – multiple representations aid long-term retention of mathematical concepts.
