First and Second Grade Science Worksheets

Understanding the different types of weather that can occur during the day is an important concept for young learners. Being able to articulate words associated with temperature, precipitation, and weather conditions will help them make choices such as what to wear, how to get from one place to another, and much more.

Teach Starter has created a simple cut-and-paste worksheet to help your students identify different types of weather conditions. With this worksheet, students will cut and paste a description and picture under each of the 8 weather words:

  • Clear
  • Cloudy
  • Calm
  • Windy
  • Rainy
  • Sunny
  • Snowy
  • Icy

Please note that the image with windy crossed out represents calm, and the image with cloudy crossed out represents the term “clear.”

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

For students who need an additional challenge, encourage them to create sentences with each of the vocabulary terms.
