Teach Cooperation Every Day – Social-Emotional Learning

Is your classroom too hectic? Are your students arguing over supplies, interrupting you and each other, and being slightly uncooperative? If so, it may be time for a Social Emotional learning lesson about cooperation. That’s where we come in!

Help your students understand what cooperation is and isn’t, and help them make a plan to cooperate in the classroom with a printable accordion book activity. Your students will love drawing and writing about ways they can show cooperation on a foldable strip, which is then combined to create a fun shutter-style accordion book.

How to Make an Accordion Book

Need help getting your accordion book together? Here are a few helpful hints.

  1. Complete the writing prompts.
  2. Color and cut on the dotted lines.
  3. Glue the two halves together where shown.
  4. Accordion fold each side on the solid lines until the two halves of the cover meet in the center.
