Identify what is shorter or longer with an engaging interactive measurement game.
Let’s Compare! Shorter or Longer Measurement Activities
In the busy preschool or kindergarten classroom, keeping learning both fun and engaging is key to teaching young learners. Measurement activities form an essential part of the math curriculum, giving students with useful skills that apply to everyday life. But, the real challenge lies in making these activities not just educational, but also genuinely engaging. One effective way to do this is by incorporating a variety of measurement comparison activities that help students determine if objects are shorter or longer and help them visualize mathematical concepts.
Measurement Comparisons Go Google! Interactive Math Game
Use this engaging, interactive Google Slides Game when exploring the length of everyday objects. This deck of self-checking interactive task cards contains 24 questions, each containing two images. The students must select which object is longer or shorter (depending on the question).
When answering the questions, it is important to remind your students to visualize the actual size of the real-life object. The images in the presentation are not drawn to scale.
