Rounding on a Vertical Number Line Worksheet Pack

Are your students in need of some additional practice with rounding? If students understand the concept of rounding with smaller numbers but need to work on rounding with larger numbers, you have come to the right place! Teach Starter has created a pack of rounding worksheets suitable for both struggling and accelerated students to practice this essential math skill.

With this worksheet, students must identify the beginning and ending points on the number line, place the midpoint, and mark the approximate location of a number. Then they will round the number to answer the question.

Because this resource includes an answer sheet, we recommend you print one copy of the entire file. Then, make photocopies of the blank worksheet for students to complete. 

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing on cardstock and slipping it into a dry-erase sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker and then erase and reuse them. 

Additionally, project the worksheet onto a screen and work through it as a class by having students record their answers in their notebooks.
