Discuss and debate the best animal adaptations with the Would You Rather? Animal Adaptation game.

Would You Rather? + Adaptations of Animals = Fun!

Are you looking to engage your students like never before? Do you want something special to round out your Animal Adaptations lesson plans? If so, you’re in the right place! The Teach Starter team has put together the BEST animal adaptations game out there with an exciting game of Would You Rather?!

Would Your Rather Questions for Animal Habitats and Adaptations

This engaging game has one goal in mind– to get your students thinking, discussing, and debating which animal adaptations are the most beneficial based on habitat. To play, students will

  1. Read the habitat provided on each slide. Think about what predators, food, and living conditions are in each habitat.
  2. Look at each adaptation (not the animal itself, just the feature).
  3. Decide which adaptation would be most useful in the habitat given.
  4. Write your answer on the recording sheet.
  5. Discuss and share with the group why that adaptation is best.

On each slide, students are given a specific habitat and must decide which of the two would be the best adaptation to have in that environment. It’s the perfect way to blend those Science Standards with your Speaking and Listening skills. Some of the Would You Rather Questions include,

  • In the Arctic, which adaptation would you rather have? Furry Feet or Sharp Claws?
  • In the forest, which adaptation would you rather have? Sharp Quills or Stinky Smell?
  • In the rainforest, which adaptation would you rather have? White fur or Scaly Skin?
  • And more!
