Kick off your summer vacation with a fun end of year “Would You Rather?” Brain Break activity.
Would You Rather Brain Break – Last Day of School Games
Ahhh, summer holidays. ☀️There’s nothing quite like the end of another school year.
The end of the school year requires plenty of activities to keep your students engaged. These would you rather questions are perfect for that!
Ask your students these thought-provoking questions and get them to explain their answers! You could also use them as a Four-corner brain break activity by having students show their responses by walking to a specific wall in the room.
Why Would You Rather Makes a Great Brain Break
Would you rather is a great elementary school brain break because it offers a fun and engaging way to momentarily shift focus from intensive mental tasks and stimulate creative thinking!
The prompts require kids to evaluate different options, consider pros and cons, and choose based on their preferences. That mental work helps boost kids’ cognitive flexibility (the ability to switch between different ideas and perspectives), not to mention giving students a chance to focus on something entertaining and enjoyable, helping to improve mood and reduce emotional strain so they can return to instruction feeling refreshed.
If you’d prefer a digital version to use on your interactive whiteboard, we’ve also included a Google Slides presentation!
