Get your students into the habit of reflecting on their writing with this student reflection worksheet.

Use this reflection worksheet for students to reflect on their writing after a guided writing session.

How to Use This Resource

Giving your students time to reflect on their writing allows them to focus on the strengths and weaknesses in their writing and allows them to develop as writers.

Reflecting on their work shouldn’t just happen after they have published a piece of writing. Rather, it should be done after each guided writing session. Give each student a copy of the reflection worksheet and send them back to their desks with their writing piece from that day’s guided writing session. Ask students to reflect on their writing by reviewing each worksheet question.
