Use this 30-minute digital timer for the classroom to time silent reading, end-of-day routines and so much more!
The Perfect Digital Timer for the Classroom!
Do you need to set a digital timer for 30 minutes to keep your class on track? Our teacher team has you covered with this simple 30 minute timer, created with kids (and teachers) in mind.
Project the timed video onto your whiteboard, and count down a half hour for silent reading, group projects and plenty more!
The digital classroom timer starts with a 10-second countdown to prepare students before providing you with 30 whole minutes of time as it counts down silently. The minutes and seconds will still tick by on the screen as the numbers count down, providing students with a visual that shows the time that has lapsed since the project began.
Perhaps best of all, hearing the “Stop” when the time comes to an end can give your students a boost of confidence, knowing they managed to spend that entire time reading or completing another task.
Teachers’ Favorite Ideas to Use a 30 Minute Timer
We didn’t just create this fun digital timer. We also put together a few quick ideas for using it in the classroom! Here are a few favorites from our teacher team:
- Find yourself leaving way past contract hours are up? Use the timer to keep yourself on task. Whatever hasn’t been completed in those 30 minutes can be done another day.
- Time your end-of-day closing routine. Whether you close out the school day by reading a book aloud to the class, allowing students to get a jumpstart on homework or maybe playing a game of magic trash (we’ve been there!), a timer comes in handy to signal when it’s time to transition into filling backpacks and heading out the door.
- Time your time fillers. We’ve all had those awkward gaps in the day that we’ve had to fill. Keep track of the time during your time filler activities!
