Differentiate Learning With This Resource
Meeting the needs of all the learners in your classroom can seem daunting, but by differentiating lessons, activities, and assignments, you can provide a more personalised experience. Meeting students where they’re at academically better ensures that you are bridging the gap to where you want them to go.
Here are some tips on how to differentiate using this resource:
- The worksheets are labelled with a number and a symbol in the upper right corner.
- Worksheets 1 and 2 have a Cartesian plane that is limited to the first quadrant.
- Worksheets 3 and 4 have a four-quadrant Cartesian plane.
- Each worksheet has two versions:
- one marked with a circle that poses the questions in a multiple-choice format
- a more difficult version marked with a triangle that asks the same questions in a fill-in-the-blank format
- Both versions of the worksheets look very similar, so students will likely not know that they have been given a different version than their neighbour.
