Create a popular Christmas Santa tree topper with your class for students to bring home to parents and carers.

      Christmas Santa Activity

Ho, ho, ho! It’s a bit of holiday fun for the classroom that students can enjoy through the holiday season — a Christmas Santa tree topper craft!

      You will need:

      • scissors
      • thick white card
      • glue
      • Santa tree topper template
      • pastels or coloured pencils
      • white cotton (for the beard)
      • red fabric or paper
      • glitter, pompoms, and other craft supplies

Celebrate Santa with students who believe in the magical Christmas creature this school year by creating their very own Christmas Santa Claus to place at the top of their Christmas tree before he visits. This easy craft can be done by students in Foundation, although they may need some help with the scissors and glue! Other early years students can do more independent work to create their Santa craft.

      More Santa Activities for Kids

The fun doesn’t have to stop there! If you’re in the festive spirit, pull out the picture books about Santa Claus, and get ready for a day of Santa craft and Santa fun!

Students can test their cognition skills with a Santa Spot the Difference interactive activity, then help save Santa’s workshop in a North Pole-style escape room for the whole class.

Don’t forget to make sure students write their letters to Santa, and add it to your classroom post box so you can share with mums, dads, and other carers before the holidays!
